Frequently Asked Questions
-
How much time does it take the school staff each week?
It only takes a few minutes each week! Just send us up to five news items or announcements you’re likely already compiling for your email newsletter. Our professional voice talent will record these for you, and we'll include them in your episode.
-
How do I know we will like the syndicated content you are providing?
We understand that approaches to parenting and education can vary. Our syndicated content is crafted to be both Biblically sound and high quality, created by trusted experts. You have the opportunity to review and approve any ZipCast we produce, ensuring it aligns with your vision and standards.
-
How much does it cost?
ZipCast pricing varies based on the number of students at your school, offering a sliding scale to accommodate different sizes and budgets. Whether you’re a small start-up or a large institution with over 1,000 students, we have plans suitable for you. Costs are capped for larger schools, with the average school spending about $75 a week total - what else will touch all of your parents every week for the entire school year? Our goal is to be the best value of any resource a school purchases.
-
Does this encourage parents to be on tech when we want them to spend less time on it?
We hope the 10 mins or so required in the week to listen can happen together as a family- often driving in the car on the way to school. ZipCast are a shared audio experience rather than a head down looking at a screen. Our 90-second segments serve as informative previews, sparking deeper discussions and longer engagements with content and embodied community.
-
Is this for parents to listen to with their children?
We know a dad who listens while doing yard work and chores and a mom who listens while jogging, but most folks do listen on the morning drive into school or at home around the kitchen table. It’s akin to a modern-day version of the classic fireside radio chats, where families gather to listen together.
-
Is ZipCast meant to replace our weekly school newsletter?
Rather than replacing the school newsletter, ZipCast enhances it by highlighting key topics mentioned in the newsletter. This approach has been shown to improve the open rates of emailed newsletters by directing listeners to seek more detailed information.
-
Can we add more customized segments from our school?
We like how you are thinking! Coming in 2025 will be a totally new ZipCast system that will allow you to record and "drop in" segments you record locally with content from our growing syndicated library. Stay tuned!

Why is it called a ZipCast?
In an attention-based world, being able to "zip" short, helpful and inspiring content to "encourage you on the go with what you need to know" is what we are all about. Our mascot, the hummingbird, symbolizes our commitment to being quick, nimble, and delivered beautifully.
